The University of Tulsa Department of Anthropology will host the 2017 Southeastern Archaeological Conference Nov. 8-11 in downtown Tulsa. The annual event welcomes hundreds of archaeologists from the southeastern region to share new data with each other and standardize ceramic types. The SEAC is a small working conference of members actively engaged in the study of ceramics.
Faculty, staff and students from TU’s Department of Anthropology will facilitate the event, which will include special topic sessions, archaeological workshops, research presentations and social events. Conferences attendees will have an opportunity to visit the TU campus and Gilcrease Museum.
