Katie Snyder, a junior communication major at The University of Tulsa, has been awarded a prestigious Stickell Summer Internship by the American Advertising Federation. Adjunct Professor Bill Hinkle nominated Snyder, and once she was named a finalist, she was matched with an internship. She will spend her summer with PulsePoint Group, a management and digital consulting firm located in Austin, Texas.
“I am honored to be nominated and represent our small university on a national level,” Snyder said. “I am thankful for the exceptional preparation that TU provides. Bill Hinkle is an amazing advocate for students, and his guidance has been crucial to my success professionally as well as academically.”
The Vance and Betty Lee Stickell Student Internship Program was established in 1989. The program is intended to raise awareness and understanding of advertising processes and business ethics among future advertising professionals. The AAF, as an organization, strives to help professionals advance their career, network and celebrate the industry of advertising.
