TU Concert Chorale and Cappella Chamber Singers - Kendall College of Arts and Sciences

“There is nothing quite like singing in a choir. I leave this great thought from Stephen Sondheim: ‘If I cannot fly, let me sing!'” – Kim Childs

TU Concert Chorale

The TU Chorale is the larger of two choral ensembles at The University of Tulsa and rehearses and performs a wide variety of choral music genres. The TU Chorale joins Cappella Chamber Singers on occasion to become “TU Concert Chorale” – performing larger works often accompanied by the TU Symphony or other instrumental groups.

Cappella Chamber Singers

The Cappella Chamber Singers is a smaller chamber ensemble that rehearses and performs music from the Renaissance through the 21st Century. In addition to regular semester performances, Cappella also sings for University of Tulsa functions, such as the annual TU Lessons and Carols and Baccalaureate services, and additionally sings a local high school tour and other performance occasions regionally. Cappella has performed at Carnegie Hall and has also been the featured choir at the prestigious “Evenings at the Bernsen” series in Tulsa, OK as well as the Tulsa Performing Center “Brown Bag-It Concerts.” Cappella has also been chosen several times as an OKMEA Honor Choir recipient as well.
